TIME OUT NY features Clare and the Reasons as the TOP PICK for the upcoming CMJ Festival!
This group stars the local couple Clare and Olivier Manchon, respectively a singer-songwriter and a multi-instrumentalist. On their second album, Arrow, Olivier is credited with playing eight instruments, from violin to baby koto. Yet the record never falls prey to the fattiness that can mar such orchestral pop, building from songs that feel intimate but not small…

All The Wine, the new single from Clare and the Reasons is the SONG OF THE DAY on NPR.ORG!
“I haven’t much that I want to do / Would you like to come and do that, too?” singer Clare Manchon asks in “All the Wine,” the opening track on Clare and the Reasons‘ new album, Arrow. Indie Brooklyn NY band, Clare and the Reasons, will be teaming up with Alter Eco on their upcoming tour. The challenge will be how Clare and the Reasons can find local fresh produce (or produce at all) on their long road trips. Equipped with a double electric cooking range and a burning desire to eat healthy food, they plan to combine Alter Eco’s grains and Olive Oil with fresh vegetables (and meat if it’s organic grass fed) and cook in the backstage area of the concerts and most likely hotels rooms along the wide open american road. Most of all, optimism and creativity will be the key ingredients to making it work. Thanks to our friends at Alter Eco! If you live near where Clare and the Reasons are playing come by a show. Have some Alter Eco chocolate with the band after the show at the merch table!

Soup and Songs With Clare Manchon
Clare Manchon lives in Brooklyn and fills her days with modern trappings just like the rest of us, but it doesn’t take much of an investigation to uproot her desire to live in a 1950s black-and-white detective film come to life….
