“Rabwin sings with the wispy confidence and intimacy of Stars’ Torquil Campbell” – MetroMix

Clare & the Reasons has found new homes for The Movie in Europe, Japan, Korea and Australia! Here’s a little about Frog Stand Records’ new friends across seas:
Fargo Records, the French label boasting such artists as Andrew Bird, Jesse Sykes, Against Me, and Ron Sexmith, has proudly re-released The Movie in all European territories excluding the UK. On October 7th at La Cigale, Chris Garneau, My Brightest Diamond and Clare & the Reasons will join forces to celebrate Fargo Records.
Shock Records released the record to Australia and New Zealand on August 8th, adding Clare & the Reasons to the ranks of Bloc Party, David Byrne and Martha Wainwright.
Spice of Life Records in Japan is an independent label with a repertoire mainly from Sweden and the U.S. as well as Japan and Hawaii. There the band is amongst a more jazz-based roster, with an indie edge.
Beatball Records in South Korea (Iron & Wine, CSS) is also gearing up for the release of The Movie, with a release date to be announced.

Check out Metromix’s advance review of Musée Mécanique‘s debut LP, “Hold This Ghost,” an all around lovely write-up from Matt Rodbard.
Excerpt: “Rabwin sings with the wispy confidence and intimacy of Stars’ Torquil Campbell, while Ogilvie and a long list of contributors fill in with toy bells, cello and many layers of keyboards.”
